"Things are calming down after the rush of our closing. I wanted to write to you to express my thanks for your success in selling our home. When we first met last year, what struck me immediately was your professionalism, your dedication to selling, and your willingness to invest in your listing to insure a sale. I have many real estate friends who have been asking for the listing since I first announced my intention to sell our home; you were the first to ask me to allow you to sell my home. Perhaps a small matter of semantics, but it got my attention and in my dealings with you over the last year you demonstrated that dedication to the sale. Although you immediately told us that it would take a full years listing to achieve our sales price we were initially nervous in giving such a long commitment after our previous experience with several nationally known real estate companies that did not deliver. As we were not going to be present at our home in Celebration for most of the year, it was particularly important that we received excellent feedback not only about the results of viewings, but concerning the logistics of each one. After six months we were disappointed that despite the number of qualified viewers who expressed interest in the home we had no sale, but we were impressed with your professional approach, your willingness to conform to our instructions, your help with the managing of the home in our absence, and with your continuous communications concerning the viewings and the market. We immediately signed up for the next six months to give you the twelve months you initially requested. Another two months passed without an acceptable offer, but with strong interest from some potential buyers and then finally an offer, that although still not acceptable, showed promise. The offer came from exactly the profile of the buyer that you had identified from the start: a European cash buyer with a desire to own in Celebration. After two weeks of extensive negotiations involving both the buyer and their agent, you achieved the first arms-length sale on Eastlawn in many years and the highest per square foot on Eastlawn ever. The sale closed under three weeks later. Throughout this time you conducted yourself to the highest standards of professionalism and we want to thank you for selling our home. This week we visited Las Vegas to celebrate and at one of the shows I got involved in a little friendly banter with the show host: after each exchange we got a little friendly laughter. But then after I was asked why we were in Las Vegas, I answered "because we sold our house": the entire theater erupted with a standing ovation and deafening applause.
